[Hong Kong, September 14, 2026] – GRL Platform Solutions (GRLPS), a global provider of automated test and validation solutions for connectivity and charging technologies, today announced that Rajaraman (Raja) Venkatachalam, Chief Product Officer, has been elected to the Board of Directors (BoD) of the Wireless Power Consortium (WPC).
The WPC is the global standards organization responsible for developing and maintaining the Qi wireless charging standard. With more than 300 member companies worldwide, the Consortium brings together leading technology companies, semiconductor manufacturers, device makers, accessory suppliers, test and certification organizations, and other industry stakeholders to advance the global wireless power ecosystem.
The Board of Directors provides strategic oversight and direction for the Consortium, guiding its technology roadmap and industry initiatives as the WPC works to advance safe, efficient, interoperable, and widely adopted wireless power technologies worldwide. Raja joins a Board that includes representatives from some of the world’s leading technology and wireless-power companies, including Apple Inc., Google, Samsung Electronics, Koninklijke Philips N.V., Belkin, nok9, ConvenientPower, NuVolta Technologies Inc, and GRL Platform Solutions.
This election reflects GRL Platform Solutions’ long-standing commitment to the wireless power industry and its active contribution to the development, validation and global adoption of Qi technology.

Raja brings more than 25 years of experience in product development, compliance testing and technology-standard ecosystems. His work spans wireless power, USB and USB Power Delivery, PCI Express®, DisplayPort™, and a broad range of high-speed connectivity and IoT technologies.
As Chief Product Officer at GRL Platform Solutions, he leads product strategy and development across the company’s global portfolio of test and validation platforms. He has been closely involved with the WPC and the Qi ecosystem for many years, working with semiconductor companies, OEMs, accessory manufacturers, and certification organizations to accelerate the development and deployment of wireless charging technologies.
